6 essential Wordpress plug-ins for the serious blogger
In this article I will list the Wordpress plug-ins that I personally cannot live without. It is amazing how popular the Wordpress project and platform has become, and even more amazing is how well it works. There are tons of really useful plug-ins that can be found at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ but these are the absolute best!
1. Adsense Manager Generating revenue from blogs is usually done through advertising, and this usually being Googles Adsense service. This plug-in makes it easy to insert Adsense adverts where you want them, with a very nicely integrated interface. If you are wanting to make money from your blog, you need this plug-in!
2. All in one SEO pack Good SEO practices and enhancements will insure a steady stream of viewers to your blog. This plug-in makes SEO so easy! It offers title optimization and automatic META data generation. Coupled with a good Wordpress Permalink structure, this plug-in will super charge your SEO.
3. Google XML sitemaps Sitemaping structure is a relatively new feature to the modern search engine, basically webmasters can submit XML representations of their sites and can specify how often these pages change. This plug-in supports XML sitemaps for Googles, MSN’s, Yahoo’s and ASK.com’s sitemap services. This plug-in is a must to insure that all content is scoured by search engines.
4. obsocialbookmarker Sociabook is massive! If you don’t really know to much about it I suggest you do some serious research into it! Its most likely the easiest way to get people onto your site. This plug-in ads buttons for all the big boys including: Stumble upon, Digg, facebook, technorati and del.icio.us.
5. Ultimate Google Analytics When you have a blog you obviously want to know how well its doing, and Google’s Analytic service is one of the more powerful tools to track your sites progress. This plug-in implements Google Analytics to your site with ease.
6. WP-Syntax If you are going to do any sorts of coding tutorials on your site this plug-in is highly recommended. It automatically color codes and ads line numbers to your examples. This improves readability and your readers will love you for it.
